Golden is operated by Aicha Benali ("we", "us", "our"). You can reach us at golden_support@yahoo.com. This policy explains what data we collect when you use the Golden app, how we use it, and your rights.

When you create an account and use Golden, we collect:

• Account data - your email address, display name, and username.
• Artwork & posts - photos you upload, the medium you used, optional notes, and whether you made them public.
• Streak & activity data - your daily log dates, streak count, and engagement history.
• Profile data - your bio, profile photo, and follow relationships.
• Messages - direct messages you send to other users.
• Device & usage data - your timezone (used to send reminders at the right local time), device type, and broad usage patterns.
• Purchase data - if you buy streak freezes, we process the transaction via Stripe. We do not store your card details.

• To provide and maintain the app and your account.
• To show your public posts in the Explore feed and to people who follow you.
• To send daily reminder push notifications at your preferred time (if you opt in).
• To process in-app purchases via Stripe.
• To operate the leaderboard and social features.
• To improve the app and diagnose bugs.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for behavioural advertising. Ads shown in Golden are fixed placements - the same for everyone.

Golden uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Supabase (supabase.com) - database and file storage. GDPR-compliant. Data stored in the EU.
• OneSignal (onesignal.com) - push notifications. We share your user ID and streak tags with OneSignal to personalise reminders.
• Stripe (stripe.com) - payment processing for in-app purchases. PCI-DSS compliant.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data via the Edit Profile screen.
• Delete your account and all associated data via Settings → Delete account. Deletion is permanent and completed within 30 days.
• Export your archive via Settings → Export my archive.
• Opt out of push notifications in Settings at any time.
• Object to any processing by contacting us at golden_support@yahoo.com.

California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of any sale of personal information (we don't sell it). Contact us to exercise these rights.

EU / UK residents (GDPR): Our legal basis for processing your data is contract performance (to provide the app), legitimate interest (to operate social features and prevent abuse), and consent (for push notifications). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymous, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

Golden is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for data in transit and rely on Supabase's security model for data at rest. Access to your data is restricted by row-level security policies. No method of transmission is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We'll notify you of significant changes via a push notification or in-app message. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

By creating an account or using Golden, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

You retain full ownership of the artwork and content you upload. By posting publicly, you grant Golden a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and distribute your content within the app (e.g. in the Explore feed). This licence ends when you delete the content or your account. You confirm that you have the right to share anything you upload and that it doesn't infringe third-party rights.

You agree not to:

• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or obscene.
• Post content that infringes any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property right.
• Impersonate another person or create multiple accounts to evade a ban.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the app or its infrastructure.
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or bulk-download content.
• Manipulate streak counts, votes, or leaderboard positions through dishonest means.

Streak freezes and any other in-app purchases are final and non-refundable except where required by law. Purchases are processed by Stripe and subject to their terms. Virtual items have no cash value and cannot be transferred.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without notice. You may delete your account at any time via Settings.

Golden is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any loss of data, streaks, or content arising from technical issues, downtime, or user error. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Texas, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Travis County, Texas, United States.
